In 2004, Poland spent € 94.3 million on Official Development Assistance (ODA), which corresponds to 0.05% of its gross national income (GNI). Bilateral means accounted for 21% of the total, while 79% was multilateral.

Funding programmes:

NGOs can apply for financial support under the following funding programmes:

NGO co-operation: NGOs based in Poland (Polish and foreign) can receive co-funding for their projects by responding to calls for proposals.Polish-Canadian

Trilateral Co-operation Programme: This programme supports NGO projects jointly funded by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).

The Small Grants Fund: This instrument supports small projects submitted by local community actors (NGOs, local parishes, local schools, etc.).
