Thematic evaluation of Population and Development oriented programmes in EC external co-operation
The European Commission has presented an evaluation of a report and evaluation of its commitments to Cairo Action Plan for Population and Development. This studies' findings are found when following the weblink set out below. It finds the Commission's approach to be "coherent but lacking an integrated approach to population, poverty and sustainable development". The approach should be broadened beyond sexual and reproductive health, so the study, thereby becoming comprehensive in the case of IDPs, while the implications of migration on population concerns should be incorporated into all future country programmes.
